We’re hiring for a truly outsized opportunity at the intersection of product design, systems thinking, and real-world outcomes. The mission is clear: turn one of the most powerful commercial platforms ever built into something people actually understand, trust, and love to use, and all at scale.
Planhat has spent a decade building an enterprise-grade platform for commercial teams. We integrate data, workflows, automation, AI, and collaboration into a single system that runs some of the most critical processes inside high-growth Fortune 500 companies.
We’re not building surface-level UI or feature-by-feature “solutions.” We’ve built a horizontal platform made up of composable primitives; things like data models, formulas, permissions, automations, AI steps, and collaboration objects. the same goes for our design approach.
You’ll join a growing design team and work closely with Product and Engineering to raise the bar: stronger UX foundations, clearer patterns, and experiences that make platform complexity feel simple and trusted.
Before, the challenge was building enterprise software. Today, the challenge is enabling outcomes in environments full of messy data, legacy systems, and real human complexity. And that is why design is more important than ever.
Design at Planhat isn’t about polishing screens at the end of the process. It’s about making complex systems feel legible and intuitive, helping users understand what’s possible without overwhelming them, and deliberately shaping the path from a first interaction to real adoption and measurable business impact. It’s also about preserving flexibility without letting it collapse into confusion, so power scales, instead of friction.
This is where you come in.
As a Product Designer at Planhat, you’ll work on some of the most complex product challenges in B2B software:
Designing core platform experiences used daily by operators, leaders, and technical teams
Turning abstract capabilities (data, automations, AI, permissions) into clear, usable workflows
Collaborating deeply with product managers and engineers from problem framing to shipped outcome
Building and evolving our design system: reusable components, patterns, and interaction foundations that keep the product consistent, scalable, and fast to ship
Balancing power and simplicity without dumbing things down
You’ll work close to the heart of the product: where decisions compound over years, not sprints.
We’re not optimizing for a specific background, we’re optimizing for product sense.
You might be a great fit if you:
Think in systems and flows, not just individual interfaces
Are comfortable with complexity and know how to reduce it without oversimplifying
Care deeply about usability, but also about strategy and outcomes
Can collaborate fluently with engineers and product leaders
Are curious, opinionated, and willing to challenge assumptions
Have strong UI craft and can design pixel-perfect, information-dense interfaces that stay clear, scalable, and easy to navigate
Want real ownership, not just tickets in a backlog
Experience with enterprise software, data-heavy products, or technical users is a plus, but raw ability, judgment, and drive matter more than pedigree.
This is a rare combination of:
First-on-the-ground design impact in key areas of the product
A platform with real depth, scale, and ambition
A fast-moving, founder-minded product and engineering culture
The chance to shape how AI, data, and automation actually work for humans
Every week we don’t make the platform clearer and more intuitive is a missed opportunity for customers. We’ve built the engine. Now we’re focused on how it feels to use. If you want to work on a product with real complexity, real scale, and real impact, this is it.
