Team Ownership
We’re a consciously small team with high ownership, drive, curiosity, and ambition.
At Planhat, we own product direction and marketing: a combination of making the right market bets, working closely with engineering/design to build them with speed and quality, and go-to-market with commercial teams. In a world as competitive and complex as ours, you can’t choose between having the right ideas and ability to execute faster than anyone else - we are drivers of both. In that sense, we think of our role as highly entrepreneurial: a sixth sense for spotting opportunities to create real value and a killer instinct to execute on it, often in fuzzy and collaborative environments.
We combine some base knowledge of technical, UX/design, and commercial/marketing in order to be the driver of product velocity, while also honing some specific craft where we can become true leaders.
People and Culture
More than anything, people on the team just find it intuitively joyful to work on complex challenges, and grow fast doing so. With lots of ownership and ambition comes high expectations - for us, this is a source of excitement. Never expect to stand still here, in learning or exposure to bigger problems or in compensation - and hopefully you’ll also feel like most days are simply “fun”.
Location
The team is global, but working from anywhere is a right earned and not given, and context sharing is critical for ramping fast. So in a majority of cases we’re looking for people who can (re-)locate to our offices in London or Stockholm for at least the first year. After that, our team members have over the past years been found working from Patagonia, New York, LA, Colombia, South Africa, and Istanbul (to name a few).
Every single day we work closely with our incredible engineers from Egypt, Brazil, Canada, UK, the Philippines, and elsewhere; and we regularly meet up in person with the larger product and engineering organisation.
