Set a new standard for the enterprise user experience. Craft interfaces that empower every user to act with speed, delight and intention.
The role
Planhat has spent a decade building an enterprise-grade platform for commercial teams. We integrate data, workflows, automation, AI, and collaboration into a single system that runs some of the most critical processes inside high-growth Fortune 500 companies. We're not in the business of building surface-level UI or feature-by-feature point solutions. We've built a horizontal platform made up of composable primitives, and expect the same in our design approach.
Despite our product's maturity, the product design function is a tight-knit, early stage team, so there's considerable opportunity for ownership and rapid growth in both scope and seniority.
You'll work closely with our product team and creative studio to raise the bar for our product experience as we enter a period of unprecedented scale. You have a strong eye for aesthetics, and you're comfortable in code, going beyond mockups to get the HTML and CSS right in the codebase itself. Not a full-time engineer, but hands-on enough to understand what you write, rather than just prompting for it.
On a daily basis, you'll:
Turn abstract capabilities — data, automations, AI, permissions — into clear, intuitive user journeys
Design ambitious best-in-class interfaces by creating a scalable design system that redefines how enterprise software looks and feels
Design pixel-perfect, information-dense interfaces that stay clear at scale
Competencies
Product sense, aesthetic taste and craft are crucial. To succeed in this role:
You'll have an aesthetically-driven opinion on how digital interfaces are evolving and where we should position ourselves at the leading edge
You think in universal systems and flows, not individual interfaces or surfaces
You are skilled at reducing interface complexity to guide users towards intended outcomes without oversimplifying
You have strong UI craft, and care about how something feels, not just how it looks
You're curious, opinionated, and want to own an entire roadmap, not just troubleshoot incoming tickets
Technically, you must be:
comfortable working in the front-end—Vue templates and Tailwind CSS—and understand what you write rather than just prompting for it
experienced with navigating a large codebase (ours is Vue, in a repo of 1M+ lines of TypeScript): you read the code, ask the right questions, and don't break things
fluent with and curious about staying hands-on with AI coding tools as the frontier moves—and inspiring others to level up their tools and techniques around you
Experience with enterprise or data-heavy products is a plus, but ability, judgment, and drive matter more than pedigree.
Design Suite
Strong competence in, and a strong willingness to learn:
Design — Figma
Code — Vue 3, Tailwind CSS, TypeScript (read and navigate a large codebase)
AI — Claude, Codex, or a comparable AI coding assistant in an IDE; skills, loops, etc. (desirable)
Definition of success
In a year, you're succeeding if:
The product looks and feels dramatically elevated—sharper, clearer, and more consistent—and the parts you’ve crafted are notably stronger than those you haven’t
"How does this feel to use?" has an obvious, good answer—because of you
Your design-system components get used across teams (design, product, engineering, creative) by default
Engineering and product trust you
The team ships exceptional interfaces faster because of you and the processes you’ve introduced

The Product team
The Product team are the architects of Planhat's product direction and market position, making the right bets on where to build and executing on them with speed and quality. We sit at the intersection of engineering, design, and commercial, owning both the vision and the velocity. We think in systems, move fast, and combine deep technical and market understanding to build the platform that defines the next era of enterprise software.

London
Recently completed, with a rooftop that opens onto St Pancras and the skyline beyond. The office sits in the Knowledge Quarter at King's Cross — a single square mile home to around a hundred academic, research and commercial institutions, with Google DeepMind, OpenAI and Anthropic among the immediate neighbours. Coal Drops Yard and Granary Square are a few minutes along the canal.

About us
We're building the operating system for autonomous companies.
The future enterprise is autonomous. Commercial processes that today depend on human effort - servicing, retaining, expanding, selling and supporting — will increasingly be automated. The companies that make this transition will pull ahead. The ones that don't won't survive.
Planhat exists to make that transition real.
We started bootstrapped. Customer-funded, built on discipline instead of venture capital. That foundation shaped everything: how we build, how we sell, how we think about the long game.
Today, Planhat is the agentic customer platform of choice for 700+ companies — powering close to 10 million commercial relationships worldwide and billions of dollars runs through our platform. Wiz, Revolut, Nasdaq, Synthesia, Workday and Dropbox run their customer revenue through Planhat every year.
The shift driving all of this: business is moving to an outcome economy. Companies of the future will not buy software alone anymore — they want outcomes, and they renew or consume more when they get them. That changes everything about what enterprise software needs to be.
The winners will be the ones who build the context layer - a deep, structured, living picture of their business reality. Process automation deployed by operators — not advisors.
The outcome gap is the opportunity. Context is the moat. Deployment is the differentiator. We're building all three.
Our team spans the globe, anchored by offices in Los Angeles, London, and Stockholm. Join us.
