Mission
You are on the team that defines and drives Planhat's entire sales process.
You will use your business acumen and selling abilities to hunt prospective clients, engage with them on all things client success, and then unleash the value of Planhat. Your objective is to make our clients as strong and successful as possible, and tailor each sale accordingly. You identify the right people, build relationships, and close contracts across industries, geographies, and company sizes.
Going the extra mile is our ordinary. Our team know how, and when to adapt the process to each company and their unique objectives. Whether it's helping businesses define and measure client success; co-ordinating detailed proof of concepts that demonstrate 'must have' use cases are possible; or addressing specific technical concerns prior to sign-up, you are not satisfied until the customer is.
Team
Planhat's Account Executive team know that we are in the business of creating two things, long-term success for our clients, as well as a sales process that's fine-tuned for maximum impact. It is in our team's DNA to be focused on what matters, such as:
Building strong relationships with the right people, in the right markets, at the right time (typically CS, Sales, and Revenue Ops leaders)
Defining and launching effective outbound campaigns (account-based marketing, prospecting, networking) resulting in quality engagement, and a healthy pipeline
Thinking like a startup no matter how we grow; we experiment with new processes, and aim to 'out-think' not out- spend the competition
Our team strives to simplify a complex sales process, so that it feels seamless for each client, and results in targets being exceeded (for us and our clients).
Competencies
There's not a checklist or number of years of experience that guarantees success. Some of the things we look out for are:
Entrepreneurial spirit and grit: see things differently to other people, willingness to wear many hats, and embrace that conditions are constantly changing
Business acumen: Proven ability to build trust-based relationships with senior-level leaders at SaaS companies. Recommended 1-3 year track record as successful Account Executive, ideally at a B2B SaaS company (BDR & SDR experience also highly valued)
Communication prowess: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, native to another Benelux language (e.g. Dutch or Belgian)
Bonus points: Tech-savvy—quickly pick up on and explain technical products, and/or, played a key role in scaling a software company
You will ideally join our AE team in Stockholm or London; ultimately we hire the strongest people where they want and need to be.
Most of our current Account Executives:
Came with a successful track record (approx 5 years) in selling complex, powerful. (B2B) SaaS products
Were already comfortable owning the sales cycle from prospecting to closing
Made outsized contributions that helped scale software startups
