Microsoft OneDrive
Microsoft OneDrive provides the storage; Planhat provides the execution. Instead of relying on manual file uploads, establish a recurring pipeline that automatically transforms stored flat files into actionable customer context and time-series metrics.
Unlock the power of Microsoft OneDrive with planhat
Improve net revenue retention
Identify adoption risks earlier by automating the ingestion of time-series usage metrics from OneDrive folders. This ensures your customer-facing teams can intervene based on the latest behavioral data before a renewal is threatened.
Shorten time to value
Accelerate data onboarding for new accounts by mapping bulk CSV or XLSX implementation files directly to Planhat CRM objects. Bypassing custom API development allows operations teams to populate customer records for immediate implementation follow-through.
Increase process governance
Prevent data duplication and maintain a clean audit trail with automated file routing. Planhat moves successfully ingested documents to a dedicated "processed" directory, ensuring the same file is never imported twice and reducing manual data hygiene work.
Improve commercial predictability
Establish a reliable reporting cadence by defining exact scanning frequencies, from every five minutes to once a week. This ensures that Health Scores and revenue dashboards are updated according to the latest file drops, providing leadership with a predictable data baseline.

Flow & configuration
Secure authentication via App Center
An authorized Planhat user connects the Microsoft OneDrive application within the Integrate tab of the App Center. This establishes an OAuth-based connection, requiring requisite permissions to sign in with Microsoft and grant Planhat access to the target directories.
Define mapping destinations and data types
Admins select the specific OneDrive folder path and choose whether the incoming data should populate CRM objects—such as Companies, End Users, Assets, or Projects—or specific time-series Metric types. Supported formats for ingestion include XLSX, XLS, CSV, and JSON.
Configure scan frequency and processing rules
Set the scheduled fetch cadence based on your operational needs, with options ranging from every five minutes to weekly. Define the "processed" directory path where files will be archived immediately after a successful import to manage ingestion status and prevent duplicate data re-entry.
Operational constraints and reliability
The integration functions as a one-way inbound sync from OneDrive to Planhat. Operations teams should be aware of potential timeout errors on high-volume files and should ensure the OneDrive account remains authorized, as re-authentication may be required following specific organizational security or redirect URL updates.
