Establishment of the Aircall Advanced connection
Authorized administrators initiate the setup by creating a Custom Automation within the Planhat App Center. This "light" integration model establishes a connection to the Aircall API using a secure token, allowing Planhat to communicate directly with your telephony instance.
Configuration of event-based webhooks
The integration relies on Aircall webhooks to push data to Planhat as soon as telephony events occur. While legacy versions utilized a single "call ended" event, the advanced integration listens for multiple signals including "call.created" and "transcription.created" to ensure a continuous data flow.
Identification through phone number matching
Planhat identifies the correct customer record by matching the Aircall phone number to an existing End User in the platform. Operations teams should note that paging through exceptionally large End User datasets for phone lookups can occasionally cause sync timeouts during the matching process.
